RE: Part time second job tax
Hi Holly,
The personal alllowance for the year is 12570(1257L) tax free, you can earn in the next 1- 37700(not including scotland) that will be liable to tax at 20%(BR).
Based on what you have advised on your main income being £18779, this means you would be liable to tax at 20% (Basic Rate) on your temporary Christmas employment.
Make sure you sign a P46 with the new employer and tick Option C.

RE: P85 for past years

The time limit for making a tax reapyment claim is four years after the end of the tax year in question, which in your case was 5th April 2018, so this time elapsed on 5th April 22.

Please report your total savings interest on your tax return.
Tax will not usually be deducted from savings interest, but if your bank confirms that it has, please enter the net amount in the box titled 'Taxed UK Interest'.

HMRC will only be able to send you a copy of the SA302 not a monthly breakdown.

Hi,
You will need to contact HMRC to check why the notice to file the tax returns was issued and review if due Self Assessment: general enquiries.
If a notice is sent out late to file a Self Assessment tax return then you will be given 3 months and a week to file the Self Assessment before late filing penalties are charged.

RE: Second job tax
Hi,
When you begin receiving your state pension, your tax code will be reduced by the amount of state pension you receive.
This tax code, essentially your remaining tax free allowances after state pension, will then be allocated to your NHS pension.
Any NHS pension income that exceeds your remaining allowances will be taxed at the basic rate.
