RE: Clarification on rules when receiving inheritance from abroad
Hi Oakleyad,
Inheritance tax is only due on UK assets.
Therefore inheritance receive from anywhere that is not the UK is not taxable and does not need to be declared.
However, you will need to declare any income that is then generated from the asset.
Also if you sell the property, Capital Gains Tax may be due.
Thank you.

Hi,
NI Is not deducted the same way as tax you would only be charged Class 1 on the earnings paid to you in that pay period.
You can use the following calculator Work out an employee's National Insurance contributions to check that the NICs you have paid are correct.
If you believe you have paid the wrong amount of NICs or would like more information please read the following Maternity benefits: detailed guide

RE: Class 4 National Insurance Maximum Charge
Hi,
The P60 details the current employed PAYE information held at the end of the relevant tax year.
If you had more than one employment during the relevant tax year your P60 would not show details of the previous employer.
This information is held on the P45.
If the P45 information was not handed to the new employment upon commencement of the employment under the current employer then you will need to take this up with your payroll department.
Thank you.
