RE: Shipping furniture for personal use from Italy to UK
Hi,
Anything posted or couriered to you from another country goes through customs to check it is not banned or restricted and you pay the right tax and ‘duty’ on it.
This includes anything new or used that you:
• buy online
• buy abroad and send back to the UK
• receive as a gift
Please check below link for more guidance.

RE: Outward Processing: Authorisation by Declaration at export
Hi Customs,
The guidance of OPR states below:
Authorisation by declaration
This is where we authorise you when we accept your export declaration at the border.
You can only use this type of authorisation when you’re sending goods outside the UK for repair.
You can only use this type of authorisation up to 3 times in a rolling year.
You cannot use this type of authorisation if:
• you’re using simplified declarations for export
• you want to use the equivalence or standard exchange system
• you’re applying for a retrospective or backdated authorisation
• your goods are subject to anti-dumping duty
• goods are valued at more than £500,000
If you a’re a private individual sending your own goods for repair overseas you can follow this process.
It might cost more than the tax owed, so you should check with your carrier before sending your goods.

RE: Adding a horses health certificate to TOR application
Hi,
If you are bringing more than one animal into the UK but do not have this information, you can still submit an application for your belongings.
If your application is approved, you can make an addition to submit your animal healthcare certificate or passport at a later date.
If you are making an application for a single animal only and you do not have any belongings to tell us about, you will need to have a certificate or passport before you start.
You cannot submit an application without this information.
Thank you. -
RE: Bringing personal items to the UK on behalf of a family member
Hi,
You can declare most personal goods by making a declaration by conduct or an oral declaration.
These methods of declaring your goods are simpler than other methods, but they are still defined as legal declarations.
Are you moving your permanent residence to UK?

RE: Re-Importing Personal Property
Hi Rob Evans,
Customs procedure codes are entered by the declarant on the import declaration.
If you are using a customs agent/freight forwarder they should include that information for you.
Thank you.
