Hello, I am currently trying to apply for an EORI number in order to allow an order to pass through customs. I'm running into technical issues in applying for a number which I have reaised as an online support request. Before I proceed with this, however, I want to clarify that I am able to apply for an EORI number as an individual? I do not have a registered business, and I'm unclear on whether this is needed before an EORI will be granted. Kind regards, Nick

As an individual you do not need an EORI.
Instead your name and address should be declared.
If you are a sole trader you are a business in your own name and should apply for an EORI.
You don’t need to be a company registered on companies house to apply.

Hi,
You do not need an EORI number if you’re moving goods that are both:
•    not controlled goods
•    for personal use only
You may need an Economic Operators Registration and Identification number (EORI number) if you move goods for commercial purposes:
•    between Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) or the Isle of Man and any other country (including the EU)
•    between Great Britain and Northern Ireland
•    between Great Britain and the Channel Islands
•    between Northern Ireland and countries outside the EU
Thank you.

Hi, I'm encountering an error message while applying for an EROI number. It states that the business details could not be found and prompts me to try again. I have double-checked and input the correct LLP listing and UTR number. Please note that our LLP is not VAT registered. Can anyone advise on how to resolve this issue? Thanks
