Hi Carmenip,
HMRC's definition of a “meal” is simply a combination of food and drink items.

RE: Remote working in the US for up to 6 months - tax implications?
Hi eferedoes,
Under S690 rules, your employer will be able to deducted tax on that part of your income that is carried out in the UK and pay the remaining income tax free, so that you can declare it in the USA. They will continue to deduct class 1 NIC on your entire income, as the UK/USA tax treaty does not include national insurance payments. You will receive a P60 after the end of the tax year. This will show your national insurance payments for the tax year as well.

RE: annual bonus tax implications
Hi loukea0,
As your payment has been received via payroll, assuming your tax code is cumulative and monthly pay, you will have paid tax due on that payment for that month. If your tax is on a cumulative basis, your tax will correct itself as the tax year progresses. This could mean a reduction of tax paid in future payments. If by the end of the tax year your tax has not corrected itself, an end of year reconcilliation will occur to calculate the final tax position.

RE: Paid BIK for a car I gave up a year ago?
Hi Tom,
Any tax you have overpaid for the current tax year will be refunded by your employer through your wages when they operate the amended tax code, this is applicable as long as a cumulative tax code is in operation. Any tax overpaid for the previous tax year will be reviewed automatically once we have all your pay and tax details. If you have overpaid, you will receive a P800 tax calculation in the post.

Tax overpayments and underpayments.

RE: Government gateway account
Hi C Page,
You can use the Personal Tax Account to check your National Insurance contributions record and see your projected State Pension. You will also be able to view your current years tax code and the annual amount of State Pension coded if this has already started. The personal tax account does not show the monthly/weekly State Pension payments been made in the same way as a works pension.
Thank you.
