RE: UK-Italy, threshold for taxation
Hi,
We cannot comment on your employer's decision to restrict overseas working to a maximum period. It is their choice, regardless of any tax implications in the UK or Italy.
Thank you. -
RE: car benefit tax
Hi,
Your PAYE code number should have been adjusted to account for the fact that you only had the benefit of a Company Car for 195 days - you should contact HMRC direct if you feel that this has not happened -
Contact HMRC.

RE: Tax
Hi,
We no longer hold P60 details covering the years 1978 to 2000 - if you have not kept your P60s for these years, then you will need to contact the Military for this information.

RE: Tax on employee share scheme
Hi James,
ERSM20193 advises: The RSU may pay out what are often referred to as “dividend equivalents” in either cash or shares and such payments may be rolled up and paid out at the time the RSU vests or paid out on a regular basis, perhaps to match the payment of actual dividends on shares in the company. Such payments will generally be taxed as earnings in the year they are received.
ERSM20193 - Employment-related securities and options: what are securities: RSUs and dividend equivalents.
Thank you.

RE: Working for a German company as a UK Citizen
Hi,
No.
Your overseas employer does not deduct any tax from your income.
By giving the certificate of residence to the German tax authorities, they will advise your employer not to deduct tax.
You declare your foreign employment income in a self assessment tax return, where UK tax will be calculated. You may find your employer will continue to deduct the Germans equivalent of national insurance.
You should contact the national insurance helpline, regarding national insurance on 0300 200 3500.
