RE: VAT on commercial property purchase
Hi,
We cannot be definitive regarding the deduction of VAT as input tax. You can see the guidance here:
Introduction to input tax
In order for VAT to be claimed as input tax for a leased property then an option to tax would be necessary to make the property taxable. Please see below:
The scope of an option to tax
As the property is over £250,000 please see the guidance below:
Scope of the CGS

RE: Charging VAT when selling services to UK businesses from Sweden
Hi,
If you provide these services and the services are deemed to be relating to specific land then if the UK client is not VAT registered then there will be a requirement to register for VAT in the UK and charge VAT on these supplies.
If the UK company is registered for VAT and belongs in the UK then the VAT should be accounted for under the reverse charge by the UK company and there will be no requirement for you to register for VAT in the UK.
If the supply is not specifically land related then it will come under the general rule of services and should be accounted for by the UK business under the reverse charge procedure. You can see the guidance here:
Reverse charge

RE: VAT registration when supplying services to UK (B2B)
Hi M Ford,
If you have business customers in the UK who you provide digital services to then the VAT would be accounted for by the UK business customer and there would be no requirement to register for UK VAT.
If you provide digital services to UK consumers then you would be making UK taxable supplies and so you would have to register for VAT straight away. You can see the guidance here:
Reverse charge
The place of supply of digital services
Non-established taxable persons — basic information
