Hi,
It may take up to 8 weeks after you have made your payment of voluntary National Insurance contributions for it to be shown on your personal tax account. If it is not recorded after the 8 weeks then you can contact our National Insurance team and they will arrange for your payment to be dealt with. Please have your payment details handy when you call.

If you have been allowed to pay the voluntary class 2 contributions then these will be reflected on our letter to you. A personal tax account will only ever show any shortfalls of voluntary contributions at the class 3 rate.

RE: Mechanism for paying class 2 NI contributions from abroad
Hi Chenzo,
Some banks use the Bank Identifier Code (BIC) rather than the IBAN (Account Number) so either would be fine. The address for our bank is:

Hi,
If we send you a letter after 5 April 2025 that you do not agree with, then, provided that you query this with us in a timely manner, we will review our decision and when we reply we will extend any time limits by a further 8 weeks.
