Hi Jade,
Sorry for the confusion regarding the Reference to be used. Please put your National Insurance Number in this box on the direct debit form.

RE: Retirment
Hi Diana,
May I ask that your mother contacts The Pension Service on 0800 731 0175 and they will be able to advise her of her current and future entitlement to a UK State Pension and if any periods spent in EU countries may help her.
She may like to receive a State Pension Forecast which she can obtain via: Check your State Pension forecast.
Thank you.

Your friend has more than likely been contracted out of the State pension at some point during their working life. This is normally the reason why somebody would need more than 35 qualifying years to get the maximum State pension,

RE: CA3821 Form for Digital Nomad Visa
Hi Michael,
Before we can consider issuing an A1, we first must determine that the customer is eligible to receive one, one of the criteria to be eligible is to show that a significant amount of work is carried out in the UK. If you cannot provide everything that has been requested you should provide as much as you can.
If you would like to discuss this further you should call the National Insurance helpline and ask that someone call you from the relevant team to discuss further.

RE: Name change
Hi Suzanne,
If your daughter could call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 2037010 (from overseas) then they will be able to update her National Insurance account to reflect her name change. If your daughter would like you to speak on her behalf then she would go through security with us herself and then pass the phone over to you to complete the query.
Thank you. -
RE: Voluntary contribution
Hi Kathleen,
Sorry that your payment of voluntary National Insurance contributions has not been allocated to your Personal Tax Account yet. It can take up to 8 weeks from making your payment to it being recorded on your Personal Tax Account so may I ask that you call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 2037010 (from overseas) and they will be able to make sure that we have received your payment and arrange for it to be allocated. Please have details of your payment handy when you call just in case they are needed.
Thank you. -
CF83 form - how to apply for Class 2?
Hi Antanas1963,
The new online CF83 application forms do not ask which class of voluntary National Insurance contribution that you wish to pay. Provided that you are entitled to pay the voluntary Class 2 contributions, our International Teams will accept your application at this rate. If you are not entitled to pay the voluntary Class 2 contributions then they will accept your application at the voluntary class 3 rate.
If you would prefer to apply via the old paper CF83 application form then this is fine.
Thank you.

RE: UK pension from abroad
Hi karen,
We can confirm that you may pay your voluntary National Insurance contributions at the amounts shown in the letter until the Final Time Limit date shown. We would ask that you pay at least one full tax year for each payment that you make – although you may pay multiple tax years if you wish in one go.
From the details that you have given, it would appear that the shortfalls that you have received are at the voluntary Class 2 rate. The shortfalls on your Personal Tax Account are always at the voluntary Class 3 rate so please use the amounts shown in the letter.
It may take up to 8 weeks from you making payment to it being recorded on your Personal Tax Account but you are always welcome to call our National Insurance Helpline to make sure that we have received it.
Please allow 10 days from making your payment to calling our Helpline. Their telephone numbers are 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 2037010 (from overseas).
Thank you.
