RE: Tax Calculation 22-23 - Why no refund?
Hi Muk LO,
You can amend the error by logging back into your return via your Personal Tax Account, and updating it with the correct information. The amount paid should then show as a credit on your account, which you can then claim as a refund.
Thank you. -

RE: Tax Calculation 22-23 - Why no refund?
Hi Curt,
If you complete a Self Assessment tax return you will not receive a P800 as this is only issued if your records are reviewed through your PAYE records. If your Self Assessment calculation shows you have overpaid then once you sumbit your tax return it will then update and any credit will then be shown as available for repayment.
Thank you. -
RE: Getting the UTR number by registering self assessment
Hi patrickypc,
If your only income is from savings then unless the untaxed interest is greater than £10,000 you would not need to register for Self Assessment:
Check if you need to send a Self Assessment tax return.
If you do need to register and still not received your UTR then you will need to contact HMRC to review:
Self Assessment: general enquiries.
Thank you. -
RE: Marriage Allowance transfer of 10 percent of allowance
Hi CMH,
As the recipient of the marriage allowance transfer you do not need to enter anything on your Self Assessment. Once you submit your Self Assessment tax return our system will pick up the transfer and your calculation will then be updated.
Thank you. -
RE: UTR problem
Hi opsa519,
As over 2 months since your original submission the UTR should have been set up. In this case you would need to re-submit the Self Assessment registration: Register for Self Assessment if you are not self-employed.
Thank you.
