Hi My husband has paid all Class 2 payments for his gap years back in June2024 which were not showing on his records a month ago. He contacted via chatbot which then passed him on to an advisor who told him it is taking 53 weeks and they would do a referral presumably to the correct dept as it was near his retirement date. His gap years are NOW showing on his records. Hope this helps.

Hi I live abroad and have received a letter stating I can pay voluntary NICs class 3 for my gap years. I want to pay from my UK bank to HMRC sort code 08 32 20 ac num 12001xxx. Want to confirm that my ref on the payment is NI number+IC+surname and initial? Thanks
