  • RE: National Insurance Credits Child Benefits Transfer from 2010 onwards

Hi, Thank you for clarifying. What if my spouse has more than enough qualifying years without needing years that are only qualified through the child benefit credit? Could the child benefit credit be transferred if it means that year for my spouse will no longer be qualified but he will still receive a full state pension? Can child benefit credits be transferred if my spouse is over the state pension age and has started to receive state pension payments?
  • National Insurance Credits Child Benefits Transfer from 2010 onwards

Hi, My spouse claimed child benefits and received national insurance credits for years after 2010 towards his state pension. I would like to transfer some of these child benefit national insurance credits to myself as I don’t have those qualifying years on my national insurance record. I know I have to fill in the CF411A form to request this. My question is, once this form is submitted, will it transfer the credits for all the years stated automatically or only for the years my spouse already has a full qualifying year of national insurance towards his state pension? I only want to transfer child benefit national insurance credits where my spouse has a full qualifying year but his national insurance record does not clearly say which years he did not need child benefit national insurance credits. Thanks
