Hi there I sent over a mechanical part purchased/imported from the CZ for repair work. It's a small business/manufacturer in CZ and they've not have lots of experience dealing with sending repaired work outside the EU. I'd like to know what information to provide the manufacturer in order to prevent me having to pay VAT for the declared value? I am of course happy to pay VAT/charges for the total bill (repair & any new parts) charged. But my concern is having to pay that along with the declared value of the item. Thanks

Hi,
When you export goods outside the UK for processing or repair and then re-import them, you can use outward processing to reduce your duty payments.
Please check below link for more information.
Apply to pay less duty on goods you export to process or repair
Thank you.
