Hello there, I live in Italy and I've recently purchased a suit from a British manufacturer named Brook Taverner. However, the suit doesn't fit and I'd like to return it. The thing is that I incurred the import charges through the courier DHL. I'd like to know if I'm eligible for a reimbursement on my initial import charges. What's more, I had also returned some jackets to the same company in the past, but I've recently found out I could be entitled to a refund on my import charges. I appreciate a response from you. Warm regards, Siavash Nasiri

Hi The import charges incurred will have been made by Italian customs, so it’s only Italian customs that can refund it. You would need to check with them . I suggest you first check with your supplier terms and conditions as different retailers have different ways for retuning unwanted goods.

Hi,
If items are exported from UK to Italy then the customs charges will be applied by Italian customs.
UK customs do not charge any duties and taxes on exports, any refund requests should be made to customs authorities in importing country.
Thank you.
