The grant of probate submitted to the courts, declares the value of the assets on the death of the individual and when agreed by the courts, is the value used for Inheritance tax and Capital Gains tax purposes.

It can take up to 5 working days for the payment to be processed. If you check your online account after 5 working days and if the payment is not shown then you can contact HMRC to trace and allocate the payment Self Assessment: general enquiries.

RE: ESA declaring on self assessment

If the ESA is contibution based this is taxable and would be declared on your Self Assessment tax return. If needs to be declared it would be under Taxable Incapacity Benefit and contribution-based Employment & Support Allowance.

RE: VAT invoice for +135 GBP order but seller is non-established business

If the importer of the goods is VAT registered in the UK then the shipping agent should have been provided with the company's EORI number for the import.
If that had been provided then we would have automatically produced a C79 Certificate.This is an import Certificate which allows the company to recover the VAT as input tax on their VAT return.

The shipping agent cannot raise a VAT invoice to the importer as the shipping agent is not making a taxable to the importer.
I would recommend the importer contacting the shipping agent to see if they can complete a post import ammendment.
