Do I Need to Include a Tax Refund from HMRC in My 2023-2024 Self-Assessment?
Hello, I am completing my self-assessment for the 2023-2024 tax year and have a question about a tax refund I received. In June 2024, I received a cheque from HMRC because my employer overpaid taxes for the 2023-2024 period. When I check my PAYE account, I do not see that this refund has been included in the records. Do I need to declare this amount in my self-assessment, and if so, where should I include it? Thank you for your guidance!
