RE: Calculating Net Adjusted Income for Child Benefit High Income Tax Charge
Hi Dave_ebay Ebay,
You may have to pay High Income Child Benefit Charges (HICBC) if your income before personal allowances, exceeds £50000.
For every £100 above £50000, 1% of the child benefit is required to be repaid.
When your income reaches or exceeds £60000, then 100% of the child benefit will need to be repaid.
Based on net self employment income of £30000 and net income from property of £32000, your income is over £60000.00 for child benefit purposes, which would mean all the child benefit would need to be repaid.
Please have a look at:

For some guidance on high income child benefit charges.
Thank you.

RE: Overseas Remote employee for a UK based employer
Hi Mariya PrAnd,
As you are not resident and do not intend to live in the UK to carry out the work, no tax is due here.
It should all be reported in Bulgaria. there is no need for the employer to include you on the payroll.
If they do, they should operate a code of NT (NO TAX).
Thank you.

RE:New self assessment for Capital Loss
Hi laurensia lay,
We are not able to verify personal details in this forum.
The Self Assessment tax return covers all of your world wide income and capital gains / losses.
If you completed a paper tax return, you can download and print off the supplementary pages at:
Self Assessment tax return forms
If you submitted your tax return online, you will need to log into your personal tax account and amend your tax return.
You will need to go the 'tailor your return' and choose the capital gains option.
Within the capital gains option, you can declare the loss and elect to carry it forward.
You can only claim losses within 4 tax years of the tax year the loss arises.

RE: Foreign Pensions - Double Tax Agreements
Hi Jon Carter,
Article 21 1(b) of the Double Taxation Agreement between the UK and Austria does state that any income exempt from tax in Austria may be taken into account when calculating tax due.
You should check this with the Austrian tax authorities as we cannot give you advice on how a foreign country will tax you.
We can only give advice on UK taxation.
Thank you. -
RE: Transferring personal money to UK
Hi jlam32,
The transfer of funds from an overseas bank account to a UK account would have no income tax implications, but any interest or dividends generated may be taxable.

RE: Specified Adult Childcare Credits
Hi Relishy57,
Applications for Specified Adult Childcare Credits (SACC) are currently taking 35 weeks from receipt to processing.
Any decision to backdate pension award is for DWP to make, normally they would honour the date of the application as the date the contributions were updated.
So 21/22 should be backdated to the start of SPA, 22/23 likely take effect from the date of application.
However, as I say the backdating decision is solely at DWP discretion and you should contact the Pension Service to discuss.
Thank you.
