RE: Overpaid into pension
Hi, I think the above post has answered it but I just want to clarify please. I have personally overpaid into to my pension in 23/24 tax year by a few thousand pounds (not intentionally, I just didn’t understand the rules properly). However, I have not contributed into my pension at all for the previous 3 years so I believe I have allowance I can carry over, I am about to submit my self assessment for 23/24 but can’t find anywhere on the form to communicate this. Am I correct in thinking that if I haven’t contributed for the past 3 years and I have sufficient carry over to cover the over payment, I don’t need to specify the overpayment in my latest self assessment? Many thanks in advance,
