  • Goods for Personal Consumption?

Hi there, I know that there is a personal allowance for goods for personal consumption of GBP390, but I am unsure if this is applicable to me? I travel to UK from Non-EU countries for short-term study (4 months only), as a standard visitor, and my country does not require visa approval. As such, it is normal that short-term visitors/travellers like me are carrying mobile phones, laptops, etc (for study) then I will carry them back home as well. If the personal allowance of GBP390 applies on foreign visitors like me, then I cannot even carry an iPhone 16 because it will exceed the limit and I will have to pay additional tax to enter UK? Do I need to declare any goods in this case? Thank you for clarification. Look forward to hearing back.
