RE: Income from PAYE and self-employed
Thank you for replying, however this does not answer my question. I already know that I have to complete self assessment for 2024/25. What I would like to know is, do I need to click on the link that says "add income from another source" in my personal tax account? I haven't done this because it's impossible to estimate my self-employed income for next year. -
Income from PAYE and self-employed
I am currently payed through PAYE for two separate jobs, but have registered for self assessment as my self-employed work earned about £2000 in 2024/25. I do not know how much I will earn next year as the work is irregular. I have been issued with updated tax codes for next year for my two PAYE jobs. Should I add "income from another source" for my self-employed income? I assume this will adjust my tax codes and I will be taxed more from my main jobs. As I have no idea how much my self-employed income will be, I would prefer just to be taxed as a lump sum when I fill in my self assessment. Is this okay?
