I have been living abroad since 1996. I contacted HMRC about paying gaps in my record and they confirmed I could pay back category 2 voluntary NICs from 2006. I have now exceeded the April 5th time limit for payments. Is it still possible to repay the 19 years from 2006 as agreed? I obviously want to do this, and I don't want to be limited to the new (only) 6 year rule if possible.
