Hi If I send money, as a gift, from an overseas country (i.e. non-UK based money) to my son who is working and living in England, to help him to purchase a property. Will this lump sum be subject to the 7-yr inheritance tax rule? In general, is non-UK based money transfer from overseas to UK exempt from inheritance tax? (I'm not a UK tax resident nor domicile) Thank you for your attention!
