I have been contacted about the High Income Child Benefit Charge. After using the self assessment form on the website, I have been told I need to pay back more than we have received. Since cancelling our Child Benefit claim, we have received a letter suggesting we are still eligible with the overall tax we would be expected to pay being less than the amount we would receive. The information I have received/found through letters and the website has been quite difficult to make sense of and a little contradictory. I would like to discuss this with somebody via email, I am not able to talk over the phone or send a physical letter.
