hi Working abroad for some of the year required a 'Hypotetical/shadow payroll', which was completed and submit to the tax authorities in that country. I now have a tax assessment notice from that country, do I complete the 'Foreign Tax Credit Relief' section of the Self Assessment based on the figures in this assessment? Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
If you have paid the tax, then yes.
Thank you.

Hi Many thanks Why would I not have paid the tax? Sorry not being completely thick, but how would I get a tax refund from Norway if I hadn't paid the tax? The was a miscalculation/overpayment so the tax position is in refund!
