Foreign Tax Credit Relief

Hi, is it correct that for foreign income I can only either: A) enter the foreign tax taken off or paid; OR B) claim foreign tax credit relief and select a % of relief? If I enter the foreign tax taken off / paid (option A), does the system automatically give me a credit for any tax paid in excess of the treaty rate? Thanks.

Yes, and the system will not give relief for more than is due. Any excess foreign tax paid would need to be claimed back from the other country.
