Hi, I would like to check if there is necessary to report through self assessment for the following case? - The one migrated from Hong Kong to UK in June 2023. - He should be a tax resident in tax year 23/24 as he lived over 183 days - He has a permanent job and reported tax through PAYE - In this tax year, the foreign income (bank interest only) is around £40, and UK income (bank interest only) is around £170. - No other income Is it necessary for him to apply for a new UTR and report the income through self assessment in tax year 23/24? Thanks.
