Basic PAYE tools ; unable to input correct "Date appointed as director" date, due to previous p

I run the payroll for a single director company, which opened in July last year. He has been paid under freeagent payroll software. I needed use Basic PAYE tools from Feb 2025 . So I have put year to date earnings in but when I go to "Date appointed as director" I put in July 24 and it says " This employee has already been paid. The director date appointed must be after the last payment" How do I put the correct date in? Thank you
