Hi Team, We are trying to submit FPS to HMRC and we are getting a timed out error while submitting. I can see in HMRC Site that there are some technical issues. Is this a part of this or is there any issues with the submission itself?

We had our first failed FPS's on Wednesday & have since tried to submit further FPS's for the same employer numerous times, with failed attempts each time. Are you able to confirm when HMRC will have the issue resolved?

yes had the same issue, been trying since Thursday. Would be helpful if there is an issue with HMRC that they put this message on Basic Tools site to avoid the worry.

Is there any update on fixing the fps submissions problem? My fps still says "submitting" after more than 24 hours.

I've now had an email to say submission successful but Basic Tools is still showing ON HOLD, not sure how to update this, will it be resolved soon? Has anyone else experienced this same issue - does your status still show ON HOLD?

Hi, we submitted an FPS on Friday apprx 12 noon and we were advised to wait for a submission error status but its never come...what is the general time frame that HMRC rejects the submission? Thanks

Hi, Due to the issues last week - it looks like our FPS has been submitted twice. Our payroll provider say they cannot do anything to rectify this and for us to contact HMRC. What issues will this cause and how do we correct it ? Regards

We are unable to give a timescale on this.
It may be linked to an issue that is currently being investigated.

Hi BJONES24,
If you have submitted an FPS twice you will need to amend one of the submission to NIL. This isn't something HMRC can help with and your software provider should be able to advise you how to do this as FPS amendments are a basic functionality.
