I have a very frustrating issue. I now live in Gibraltar where I worked and paid contributions for 21 years but recently became unemployed and applied for benefits. They sent me this reply: "Unfortunately, you do not have enough contributions to be eligible for the Unemployment benefit however we have realised that you worked in the UK therefore if you can provide us with your national insurance record from the UK you might be eligible using average." Can someone simply find out my contributions from 1988 - 2003? I tried using your app and online system but it only went back to 2006 which is useless to me. I'm happy to give my NI number and more details if someone emails me. Thank you

I've tried all that and I don't think you understand that that way is no good for me. I don't even live in the UK anymore so I don't have an address there or a driving license. Can someone please email me so I can give them my NI number to check for those years. It's that simple. Your system on here does not help me at all. But I am a British citizen so by rights I should be able to get help from HMRC.
