I have just paid four years of voluntary contributions to top up the pension I already get I understand that it can take eight weeks to show on my ni record, but how is the pension centre advised to increase my pension by those years?

Hi,
As you are already over UK State Pension Age then please call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 203 7010 (from overseas) and they will arrange for your payment to be allocated to your National Insurance account urgently.
The Pension Service will automatically be notified when your National Insurance account has been updated and amend your pension entitlement.
Please wait 10 working days from making your payment before calling the Helpline to allow your payment to be put onto your account.
Thank you.

Similarly payment for 3 additional years was made 6-7 weeks ago by transfer of funds. Checked NI record after. A couple of weeks which appears to have been updated. However, 7 weeks after payment latest pension payment does not reflect the additional years and when contacted Pensions they advised that HMRC had not notified them - going round in a circle any suggestions?

I too have paid a number of years voluntary contributions. I checked with HMRC pension service who said the payment had gone through at the end of January, but I have had no increase in my pension.

I have a similar problem having paid HMRC a number of years of additional contributions in January. I have written to the Pension Service advising them of the contribution and providing them with the authorisation code but two months later i have not seen any change to my pension amount. Any recommendations?

Further to my first post. It took three months to get my increased pension, but I did get arrears backdated to the date they received the payment

I paid the additional NI contributions last September. I chased progress recently & was told the turn around for the increase to my pension was no longer 10 weeks & it is not possible to quote a timeframe. 7 months now. I know the increase will be backdated to the date my payment was received but, come on, 7 months!!
