Hi there, I have recently sold shares in the UK and would like to know where I stand re CGT. I'm a UK citizen by birth but have lived in Australia for the past 5+ years where I am also a citizen. Am I still liable to pay the CGT if I remain in Australia? Am I still required to submit the capital gain to the HMRC? The ‘real time’ Capital Gains Tax service seems to be for UK residents only. Thanks

Hi,
As a non UK resident you do not need to report this.
Thank you.
