How to do you work out the capital gains when selling shares in this tax year which are either side of Oct 24 budget. How do you distribute the £3000 allowance to each sale. What form should be used?

Hi,
You can use the allowance against whichever is most beneficial to you.
Thank you.

Thanks. What form do I need to complete, or is there an online method of paying the CGT for selling these shares, if I don’t have any other tax to declare in this tax year?

Will there a change in the 24/25 Sa100 online form to represent the different cgt amounts pre Oct 24 and post Oct 24..? Will we just put the total down as usual and use the uploaded files to show the breakdown..?
